corny songs

i used to write corny songs... seriously corny songs... the kind of hopeful naive sappy corny songs that believe fairy tales come true as in true love... don't believe me?... of course a few of you know cuz that's where we first connected in this online world... still, you should have seen the corn i wrote years ago before i learned about heartbreak... but corn used to be my heart's favorite meal... ironic that corn is now genetically modified and potentially poisonous, huh?...

there was a time i was so sure...

well, things have definitely changed and my outlook on romance is not quite as hopeful as it once was, but somewhere deep inside, though i don't visit it often or write about it much anymore, the dream remains as if nothing's changed and hope remains alive...

may fantasy never die :)
