two games and while i was not going to pitch tonight cuz people who don't usually show up decided to show up, the first game pitcher hurt his finger warming up on the mound so i rushed and pitched without warm up (and we only had nine players and had to take an automatic out every time the tenth batter spot came up, which was right after me, again... it seems to happen every week)... and the second game extra players didn't show up so i pitched that one too... so disappointment turned into good exercise anyway... it's more fun to play with people dedicated enough to show up and frustrating when someone shows up late or rarely and then bumps me to the bench, but it's a very (extremely) casual church league, so i don't expect them to play by the standard asa rules anymore... they don't even stick to their own rules...
anyway, i went 6 for 6 in the two games, drove in 8 runs, scored 4 times, and walked once (batting ninth in the first game and tenth in the second)... i walked one batter in each game and it did not factor into the score... in the first game, the other pitcher came in after i pitched two or three innings... he up seven runs and we lost 8-7... the second game against the league champions (last three years cuz the guy who runs the league and the church pastor run that team and they stack it) in the second game i pitched the whole game and we won 25-10... last time they beat us by about the same score...
so a really good day for the body and player in me and a great game for the men's team (second team, which is the one we take more seriously cuz the first team, co-ed, is just practice cuz the league doesn't stick to any set rules and the teams often don't show up)... still, even if the first is more of a scrimmage, i get to play two games on fridays so yay for softball...
