kaspersky, yes, it continues to be a pain in the ass as it continues to automatically start updating and running multiple scans every time i reboot, turn on, or bring the computer out of sleep or hibernation mode even though i have scans set to manual... the simultaneous multiple scans and update uses most if not all of the cpu preventing me from using the computer... sometimes kaspersky shuts down and reboots itself and sometimes the console just freezes everything... sometimes i have to reboot the computer and try to stop the scans again because of the freezing... at the best case scenario, spending five to fifteen minutes dealing with a software that is supposed to run in the background is not only undermining my faith in the protective capability of the kaspersky labs, but annoying me to the point of wanting the uninstall... their forum says they know about it, but have no date for the fix they know they have to create... support ignored my report for the past two weeks... it's my computer and i paid for the software, dangit - let me use it...
