and softball

we'll get to the unexpected tomorrow, meanwhile, softball... with jackson catching for me and the team awake and ready to play, we won the first game handily... the second game was typical for our second games... we typically don't do well in double headers... as much as i tell them every time, bring fluids, drink fluids, and especially bring caffeine and energy drinks for double headers and tournaments, they don't... and they get tired and it shows... a few of them get moody and a couple of them just want to quit (and do right on the field, giving up on trying to win)... and our coach had to leave (for cancer treatments) and we typically do poorly without our coach there and with my arm stressed by too many pitches due to too many errors, i crashed in the last inning and walked a couple of batters and could not make a bang bang play and combined with several other errors by others, we lost... exciting game we game away due to fatigue and being unprepared to fight fatigue, but a loss... we are now two wins and one loss on the season so far... and next week we have a double header against the two best teams in the league... we have a chance if we show up for the first game, maybe they'll surprise me and show up for both... still, with jackson, it's fun... unfortunately, she won't be there next week, and our coach might not either, so we'll stay positive and see what shall be...
