something got me thinking about robert donat who would have likely been one of my favorite actors of all time had he not had a duck egg sized brain tumor that may have contributed to his stroke death at 53 years old... his count of monte cristo is my favorite of all who played that role... and so many of his other movies had so much in them thanks to him, though being of the era of meat grinder churning of a movie a month (or close), he had some clunkers too...
i used to love to watch old movies when i wanted to dive into the emo drama (or silly comedy from marx brothers to jerry lewis) as long as i was in the mood to look past the human fears that permeate and dominate most everything in human life...
