that is, not that this entry is for him, but that i stayed awake to watch him... on the couch, neck aching, i muddled through letterman and extra nodding in and out of consciousness because steven wright is scheduled on craigy ferguson tonight... and then he pushed a blogger off the stage... a vlogger, to be precise... he was opening well, circling the audience member doing pink floyd in reference to an interesting crayon and triangle dark side of the moon t-shirt the kid was wearing and then he does as he always does, asked him his name and he said keith jackson, which made me think of the sportscaster, but then when he asked for clarification the kid said he vlogged under another name and the moment the kid said that, craig pushed him off the stage... now it's not live, so craig was making a point to say do not advertise your online name on the show... which is very odd and off-putting since craig's online presence on twitter is very much part of his act...
i was distracted by that and hardly paid attention to the monologue, so found little or nothing amusing, and actually felt somewhat annoyed... this tainted the entire show for me which is sad, because steven and craig are two of my favorite irreverent humans... craig even seemed to have steven off his game a bit... geoff was having the best night of the three of them... sad, the first show i left without a big smile...
show biz... close eyes, sleep now...
