young natalie

ah, young natalie... the amc station is selling the xmas movies with a rewrite of deck the halls substituting references to the films are showing and one of the lines pushed young natalie a clever reference to one of the best xmas movies of all time, miracle on 34th street (only surpassed by it's a wonderful life on my list of favorite xmas movies cuz xmas, for me, is about the sharing of love and those two movies do that without most of the aspects of xmas i do not like and above all else, it emphasizes the power of believing in each other, how we maximize our potential when someone believes in us... beyond common sense, ya know?)... unfortunately amc does it's best to destroy the mood with distracting animations on the screen... and tv destroys the mood of a film with commercials... and the corniness and illogical or improbably plot conveniences and stupid human tricks must be overlooked... but suspending reality is necessary for most films (like believing santa claus represents love and loving enough to help others actualize their dreams and that is as real as we make it so santa claus is as real as the love-gifts we share) and it just takes a more concerted effort to block out the distractions of commercials and the logos and advertising on screen during the movies themselves... the tears can still flow if you let them (and i sure do :)

malted milk balls and m&m's help lots :)

and please don't ignore this one (yeah, you old friend :)
