i get the washington bias from the referees as it is good for the nfl for rg3 to be in contention for the playoffs if not get into the playoffs, but that is once again big business corrupting the game, which is the standard these days... fact is, rg3 is out of playoff contention if washington loses and that hurts ticket sales and tv revenue and that's not the american way... sportsmanship, fair play, equality, even freedom takes a back seat to the profit margin as the consumer culture is maxing out and corporations get more and more desperate with blatantly illegal actions...
but hey, it's just a game, right?...
and while the refs are helping big time, the giants may lose because their offensive line is standing around on running plays and not protecting the quarterback on passing plays... and their defense is either rushing blindly which does not work against rg3 or they are caught flatfooted... poor preparation... the giants are getting beaten on both sides of the ball in the trenches... maybe they got the memo that rg3 needs to win this game for the profit margin too...
and the go ahead touchdown to put washington up 17-16 was simply a blown coverage in the endzone... yet the announcers are talking crap about how rg3 is changing the way the game is played... there were two receivers and three defensive players in the endzone and two defensive players let one of the receivers get wide open by not chasing him as he ran across the endzone... simple blown coverage, no grand magic or exceptional play, just effective execution and blown coverage... but blown coverage doesn't sell as well as rg3 magic so ignorant viewers believe what they hear and not what they see... the giants just don't seem to want this game...
the giants are playing very poorly, that is what eyes can see... they have made mistakes on every level of the game since the first series (two blown touchdown throws, delay of games, holding penalties, many mistakes on offense... on defense, the refs are missing a back judge cuz he got hurt so they are missing a lot, like hits to the face of receivers and illegal hits... rg3 is good and the offensive coach is great, but he will be donovan mcnabb and michael vick in a few years if he continues to play the qb position like a running back... i hope he doesn't get hurt, he has great potential...
of course the title had little to do with football, aye? :)
