now we can wonder how precise the mayan calendar was or is and extend the scary ride a bit longer as the winter solstice and/or equinox moves along (cuz the planet is still spinning around the sun as far as i can tell, but then, what do i know)... omg, not another outrageous cataclysmic apocalypse hoax...

ah, human egos and fears are astounding... sad, but astounding...
