fitting in

roll with the flow... i enjoy it sometimes, but other times i would rather be rolling my way... so sometimes i just do it reluctantly when it's been a while since i've seen a group of friends and they want to see me... like tonight... so i play the games they want to play with the people they want me to play with and it's not painful, it's just superficial conformity (humans see that as a good time, as belonging, as making everyone feel comfortable and happy and staying on the surface it appears that it does) and i am not in the mood for superficial conformity (and all that surface happiness, which is why i haven't gone for a while)... still, it's good to see the good people they are and i appreciate the effort they make to get me to come out and play...

i have some very good friends, even if they don't understand me...
