what?... who?... where?... when?

nevermind, the obvious is the obvious, here i am... right, well there is a critical update at microsoft that the laptop supposedly needs, but the trouble is the update is 567.3 MB and the horribly sucky att internet connection will take seventy five years to download the dang thing and besides, I have a 5 GB download limit that they didn’t bother telling me about when I signed up for the service they touted as so great…

so I go to Microsoft and attempt to get email support, but the pages time out and expire before the horrendously sucky att internet service will download the page… can’t get support, can’t download updates, bet att won’t protect me from viruses or pay for damages… I wonder what courts would say about that, since it’s the sucky att internet service that I pay more than $70 a month for is preventing me from protecting my laptop…

of course a very fair question is why does Microsoft make their support pages so huge that they cannot be downloaded at dialup speeds… one answer might be they don’t want to help customers… at least not poor customers…

so i'll try to remember to download it at work tomorrow if i can figure out which updates exactly this laptop needs since windows update keeps it a secret and wants to do it automatically, ya know... anyway, maybe i'll sleep now... erp...
