more fun than time

the nba finals (game two) are in overtime... orlando should have won in regulation, but for whatever reason the rookie decided to take the last shot and by a wonderful defensive play, the magic got one more last gasp shot that they gave to... the rookie... why?... so they are playing in overtime (yes, the rookie missed both)... the magic are shooting pitifully, but still they are in overtime...

softball was wet, but fun... i doubt we'll be playing tomorrow cuz the field was a big puddle by the time we were done (we practiced in the pouring rain)... i didn't pitch, except to the other guy who pitches, cuz i won't be the practice pitcher if i'[m not pitching in the games cuz i want practice at other positions...

and dinner was delicious decadence in the comfort and excitement of home... excitement?... yes, thanks for asking, much excitement... you already know about the music, dozens of cds arrived in the mail today... but the music was just part of the self-indulgence actualized today... and i don't mean the food either...

i finally stopped at the sports authority and bought a new softball glove (and several pair of batting gloves, while i was at it)... with the new glove, i bought oils and creams and smeared and working in and baked and molded and flexed and oiled and worked-in and baked and so on... the glove sits wrapped tightly with a ball in it under my mattress at the moment... so i am so all excited about the new glove and the new music and the food and the me-time i gave myself this weekend and finally spent some money on me... the laptop, the new glove, the music, yay, finally it's me-time...

i must do this more often... as much as i love the feeling of giving and helping others, i am doing that way too much and there is more imbalance than is healthy... so more me-time... moew me-stuff... more me-love... more fun than time, but no stopping, sleep tomorrow, fun today...
